Here is a review of a product that is readily available in every isle in almost every supermarket in Asia..That is a review of POND'S BB cream. This has been available in the market for a longtime but i didn't wanted to try a fairness cream on my face since i'm totally against in whitening the natural skin color that we have been given. But since i wanted to give an idea for my followers about this as well, i decided to give it a try.
The BB cream has a powdery formula so it does lend nicely on skin and you can either use a brush or a beauty blender to blend it on to your face.
The Finish
It leaves a matte finish and blend in to my asian/yellow skin type well but does have some white cast to it so definitely would look ashy on flash photography. It didn't leave my face oily a lot during the day but i did set it with my Laura mercier translucent powder on my T zone just to be on the safe side.
The After Effects
I had some breakouts after using this BB cream several times but my skin always does when i use a new foundation. So i cannot give you a better idea whether it would break you out or not. But since it has a powdery formula it might clog pores so i'm not recommending it to anyone who has a skin that is prone to break outs to use it before priming your face to avoid any clogged pores.
The price
The cost of this is a lot cheaper in comparison to any other BB creams out there. So if you are on a budget you should give it a try. But remember to allow your skin to adjust it first by using every other day so it doesn't cause any breakouts.
Final Thoughts
If you are really looking for a BB cream that does provide a decent amount of coverage as well as has some whitening benefits then this is for you. But the purpose is only for a good BB cream i'm sure you can find from brands like Oriflame or Maybelline from the drugstore or IT Cosmetics or Laura Mercier if it is from high end makeup. This is a good option for anyone who's just starting on using makeup and wants to try out a BB cream on them first.
Here's video of me trying out this and how i use it just like a normal foundation. Hope you enjoy it and please share with your friends too..
