A dupe for Kryolan Stick Foundation
Hello again..Today i'm comparing two foundations that are mostly used in Asian countries and i think i found a perfect dupe for the Kryolan Stick foundation which is used mainly for bridal makeup and tv programs because of its' staying power and the coverage.
So i have two colors Chinese suitable for my skin tone and FS38 color as the highlighter. This Chinese color is a yellow based foundation stick which would suit anyone that has golden or yellow undertones in their skin. Don't be afraid since it looks way more yellow but after you have dond highlighting and contour it will blend in perfectly.
I got the FS38 color to highlight and conceal my under eyes, nose and forehead and it blends beautifully with the Chinese color. This range has a wide variety of colors which suits asian-dark skin tones which is very rare in most foundation brands. Most of the time the problem with other foundations is they have a less variety to match yellow skinned people like me and they appear too light most of the time. But nowadays some brands thankfully introduced more colors to suits yellow-dark skin colors so we can have a good choice.
In this range lesser the number, darker the foundation can get. So if you are looking for a darker color than FS38 you can look for a lesser number like FS36 or etc.
This foundation has a thicker formula and i always set it with a loose powder since i have a combination skin. If you have an oily skin it's a must to set it either with the loose powder in this range or i love using Laura Mercier Translucent setting powder on top. I use the color TL4 in this range and it's a light yellow translucent powder which will keep your skin looking matte for a good long time.
Please remember since this foundation is a full coverage and thick formula it's not for everyday use.This will be perfect for a wedding or a function where you need your foundation to stay longer without any fading.
The other foundation i'm comparing is the KOSMIK stick foundation in the color Chinese. This has a good color range as well but i have only the Chinese color which is a good dupe for the Krolan Stick foundation in Chinese. The staying power and the coverage is almost the same and you can't tell any difference between them in the finish of this foundation.
The Kosmik foundation is not thick like the Krolan foundation so it's suitable for everyday use as well. But it's coverage doesn't have any difference with the kryolan foundation. And you can find this at a very cheap cost in most Asian countries.
Overall view - I like both foundations and is you are looking for budget friendly foundation i think the Kosmik foundation will suit you better. And if you prefer a high end foundation for special functions you can go for the Kryolan Foundation and it won't disappoint you at all costs.
